Bollywood hearthrob Hrithik Roshan has confirmed to play the lead role in the 1990's remake of Agneepath.

Hrithik Roshan is said to star in the 1990’s remake of Agneepath.

He will play the character of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan originally played by veteran star Amitabh Bachchan.

The modern version will be directed by Vishal Bharadwaj and produced by Karan Johar. Shooting is expected to start in 2010.

Meanwhile, Hrithik is busy completing Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish alongside Aishwarya Rai.

Guzaarish is an inspirational story which sees Hrithik playing a wheelchair bound character who rises above all life’s obstacles.

As for Aishwarya Rai, she is currently making headline news for her part in the Tamil sci-fi flick, Endhiran. She is reported to be taking karate lessons required by some of the fight scenes in the movie also starring Rajnikant.
