She has played some challenging roles in her career and got accolades for her performances. But one role that Priyanka found difficult to portray is that of a Marathi girl in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Kaminey.

Interestingly, Priyanka who plays Sweety, a blunt Maharashtrian girl in the movie, had to adopt similar body language and Maharashtrian accent to suit the character.

Says Priyanka, 'I play the role of Sweety. She is a young college student. She is a Maharashtrian girl with a difference.'

It is believed that Priyanka’s character has a naughty side which she acted beautifully but a lot of effort went into learning the Marathi language. This Punjabi girl admits speaking Marathi wasn’t easy for her:

'I am speaking a lot of Marathi in the film. It was difficult for me because it’s a difficult language and I am not good at Marathi. But I think it’s my luck that through Kaminey I got to learn one more language.’
