News coming in suggests that veteran actress Madhuri Dixit will star opposite young Ranbir Kapoor. The movie which is yet to be titled will be directed by Prakash Jha.

Ranbir Kapoor to stars with Madhuri

Fans will recall that Dixit has already worked with Ranbir's father, Rishi Kapoor in Yaarana and Prem Granth in the past.

Bollywood is known for pairing older actors with younger heroines. This has been witnessed in past movies like Deewani starring Rishi Kapoor and Suryanvansh starring Amitabh Bachchan.

Such a pairing was also seen in Om Shanti Om with Shah Rukh Khan opposite young Deepika Padukone.

Khan was also paired up with newcomer Anushka Sharma in last year’s release, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi which turned out to be 2008‘s biggest box office money spinner.

So going by past successes it seems Madhuri and Rabir pair is all set to sizzle on screen!
