The movie which is yet to be titled is inspired from the 1998 American comedy drama, Stepmom. The project is to be directed by Siddharth Malhotra whilst Karan Johar will be the producer. Kareena Kapoor and Kajol will play the female leads in this film thus recreating the magic of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) where they both appeared together on screen. Karan has also confirmed the male lead played by none other than John Abraham who starred in his previous productions – Kaal and Dostana.
