Shilpa Shetty in Indo-Chinese film project

Big Brother winner tipped to appear in East Enders whilst her current project dubbed in Chinese sees her as an Odissi dancer.

Big Brother winner Shilpa Shetty is making headlines once again. Great public and media interest is being shown in her current film project, The Desire - Journey of a Woman.

Directed by Sharat, this Hindi feature film dubbed in Chinese revolves around dance, music, art, culture and emotions. The screenplay is based on a group of Odissi dancers focusing in particular on Goutami, a character played by Shilpa.

She will be seen sharing screen space with Chinese star Xia Yu. The film also features the likes of Jaya Prada, Anupam Kher, Sheetal Menon, Nakul Vaid and Asif Sheikh.

The background musical score has been composed by A R Rehman whilst film’s music is rendered by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.The film has completed majority of its shooting and will soon be ready to go into post production.

Meanwhile, Shilpa is also making headline news in the UK. She is being tipped to play a character in the long running BBC television soap, East Enders.

Already a popular figure in the UK - after her controversial Big Brother win (2007) - Shilpa will have no problem settling in with her ‘new East End family’ if all goes according to plan.
