Kylie Minogue makes Bollywood debut

Australian singer Kylie Manogue is the talk of the Bollywood tinsel town due to her Hindi film debut in the movie, Blue.

Australian singer, Kylie Minogue will make her Bollywood debut in Blue, the most expensive Hindi action movie to date.

Kylie is presently in Mumbai where she is spending time with lead star Akshay Kumar. She has already shot the film’s music video which will help promote the movie on Asian satellite television channels.

She has already recorded two songs for the film including the title track composed by multi-Oscar winner A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire).

Blue is an underwater thriller shot in the Bahamas and Bangkok. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Zayed Khan, Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif.

With production costs reaching £14 million, Blue is the first underwater action flick ever to be produced by Bollywood.

According to debut director Anthony D’Souza, Blue is inspired by the Hollywood flick, The Deep (1977).

The story is based on a high tension under water adventure when lost treasure is discovered by three friends. This leads to deceit and betrayal amongst all three. Post production is well underway with an expected UK release date of August 2009.
