Slumdog Millionaire was star attraction at Golden Globe

Danny Boyle's hard hitting film depicting life in the dark dingy world of the slums was main attraction at the Golden Globe Awards.

Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire was not only the main attraction at the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards, but also took as many as 4 major awards. It was also a historic moment for the Bollywood industry when musical director A.R. Rahman won the award for the background score.

Veteran actor, Anil Kapoor who plays the host in the film’s ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ game show and Dev Patel who plays Jamal were also present at the ceremony.

Also present was the king of Bollywood – Shah Rukh Khan. He was accompanied by wife Gauri Khan and friend/director Karan Johar.

Shah Rukh Khan walked on stage along with actress Freida Pinto (female from Slumdog) to announce one of the nominees of Best Motion Picture (Drama).

It seems Bollywood industry has finally made its presence felt in a big way at the Golden Globe Awards this year reaffirming it's awareness in the West.
