Unaware of the nightmare day he was about to have, Lenny smiled as he watched as an excited Amber rummage round the house trying to find her 18th birthday present. When he went out, she managed to find a watch her parents had bought for her, and she was not impressed. However, Ewan revealed that Lenny and Lydia were planning an expensive surprise birthday party for her.
Having given away £10k to Daniel and Eileen for the community centre Lenny was absolutely broke. He expected the planning permission for the land he bought to come through very soon, but instead it was bad news. The planning application had been rejected and the land he bought was worthless. A furious Lenny had a go at Ewan before finding Eileen and making it clear to her that he wouldn't forget she'd let him down.
Things got worse for Lenny when he realised he couldn't get the money back from Daniel because it'd already been spent. When a furious Lydia found out about the money he gave away to the boxing club he was forced to tell her the truth about the application being rejected.
Amber eventually found out what was going on and asked her parents to cancel her party. Not wanting to humiliate her father she pretended she knew nothing about the financial problems he was facing and claimed her decision was just because she fancies a quiet family meal instead. However, Lenny soon figured out she knew exactly what was going on.
Realising that he had to take action Lenny contacted Gilchrest but when Lydia reminded him of his promise to go straight he changed his mind and cancelled the deal. Then Lenny had another go at Ewan – he blamed him for everything.
An upset Ewan had a few drinks before speaking to Amber about their father. He told her that she wouldn't feel sorry for Lenny if she knew what really happened to Stuart. Ewan immediately regretted what he said and refused to say anything else.
Jimmy was annoyed that Scarlett didn't have time for him now that she was working and studying, while Scarlett was more concerned about the newspaper article reporting another attack that'd taken place in nearby Mossgreen.
Michael was impressed with Scarlett's progress and encouraged her to apply for college, dismissing her worries about spending time with Jimmy. However, Jimmy got even more upset when he realised Scarlett had been discussing him with Michael.
Jimmy apologised for his behaviour and arranged for Scarlett to go for some tuition at Michael's. But when she went round to his flat Michael seemed distracted, so when he told Scarlett he was bit tired they agreed to call it a night. As soon as Scarlett left, Michael delved behind the cushion where Scarlett was sitting and retrieved the item that was distracting him... a balaclava. Michael is the attacker!
Deek was getting fed up about how close Bob and Nicki seemed to be getting, so Bob enlisted Hayley's help to try and convince him that there was nothing going on between them.
When they turned up for the party Nicki was throwing for Amber, a tipsy Hayley was all over Bob and laughing at every single one of his jokes in an effort to throw Deek off the scent. Nicki put on a brave face and tries to pretend to Deek that she was not bothered when a drunken Hayley started snogging Bob.
But Nicki eventually had enough, and pulled Bob into another room to find out what he was playing at. Bob explained it was all scam to got Deek off their backs, and they ended up kissing again.
