Bob and Deek decided that they should meet Stuart properly, to make sure he was right for Nicki. They invited him to the flat, where Nicki was mortified by their questionning. Stuart tried to impress her with a story about escaping from the police and that didn't go down well but Bob and Deek realised it would be easier to keep an eye on Nicki if they all got on. Bob made more of an effort with him but Nicki was disappointed when Stuart told her he couldn't see her the next night... what she didn't know was that he was accepting a date with someone else!

Scarlett tricked Bob into clearing out the attic, and in the process he discovered that an old Tina Turner autograph his mum had given him was fake! He was furious when he found out his mum was using him as free labour. She shrugged it off until she was beset by bad luck - a broken alarm clock, a big zit, and a string of final demands. Convinced that karma was biting back, she tried to make it up to her boy. She opted to dress up as Tina Turner and sing to him! Bob forgave her on condition she clean his flat for months!

Amber became suspicious of Rory's secret relationship and tried to spy on his emails and texts. She spotted a text from Nat, with plenty of kisses, but Rory refused to say anything about it. Determined, Amber followed him and spotted him with Nathan. That piqued her curiousity a little more...

Ruth became a victim of petty crime when someone snatched her handbag at the subway. Laden with Eilish and baby paraphenalia, she was helpless... until a hero came along. A handsome stranger gave chase and got the bag back, winning Ruth's admiration and gratitude. When they saw each other in the pub later, Jo made sure the pair got talking and it was clear Johnny and Ruth were attracted to each other.

Johnny was in town to see Ewan. The pair had been in the marines together and Johnny had just gone AWOL. He was panicky and scared of being found, and Ruth took him under her wing. Scott was concerned by this new friendship but Ruth was determined to help. The pair grew closer and, with Iona babysitting, grabbed a few secret hours together to chat. Johnny confided that a baby girl had died in his arms when a car bomb exploded, and he'd never recovered. Ruth comforted him and they kissed!

Back at the flat, Scott returned home to find Iona but no trace of Ruth. He was frantic but she returned with Johnny and insisted all was fine. However, when left alone with baby Eilidh, Johnny had a flashback and panicked, convinced that Eilidh was the baby girl he'd seen die. He freaked and lunged at Scott, pinning him to the wall. Ruth broke it up but Scott was furious.

Ruth soon realised that she was out of her depth and told him he needed help. Reluctantly, she decided to report him. When the police came to get him, he knew he had to face his problems. Ruth and Johnny kissed. He left town and Ruth was left with Jo to comfort her.
