Scarlett and Jimmy were frantic at the thought of losing the pub but Raymond assured them it would be okay. The news of Sharon's loan (with the pub as security) came as an almighty shock and Lenny piled on the pressure. Given only a few days to come up with the money, Raymond despaired. Nobody could help get that kind of money together and Lenny soon took advantage. He forced Raymond to give it up and took delight in handing over the landlordship to his son, Ewan.
Lydia seemed impressed by Scarlett's ideas for the pub but, to make matters worse, Lenny sacked both Scarlett and Jimmy! Scarlett was furious but Jimmy made one last ditch attempt to keep their livelihood... by begging to Lenny. Deemed pathetic, he got nowhere. Raymond tried his best to make amends with his mate but Jimmy just walked away.
Lydia made an appointment for Jo to see a doctor but Jo went to extreme lengths to get out of it. Ewan, buoyed by his new-found business venture, announced Jo's pregnancy to everyone and she felt completely cornered. She admitted the truth to Ruth, who tried to get her to tell Ewan what was going on. However, Jo had other ideas. She faked a miscarriage and forced Ruth to lie to Ewan for her. Jo was distraught and even Ewan seemed pretty upset!
Elsewhere, Bob and Deek seemed to be getting way too into their roles as parents to Nicki! Deek was also getting way too much enjoyment out of Bob's role as his slave, thanks to Deek's stookies. He used him as much as he could until Nicki started to smell a rat. She spotted him managing just fine without his pal, and she and Bob set him up! Bob turned up with a nasty looking circular saw and told him he'd remove his stookie for him! Forced into a corner, Deek admitted it had already been removed. That was a close call!
