The last few days at The Tall Ship were taking their toll on Raymond, especially when Jimmy and Scarlett seemed to be getting a little too settled behind the bar! He had a go at Jimmy but his pal apologised for stepping on his toes, and they made up over a bottle of 40 year old malt. Awww.

Scott, Gina and Joanne continued to be concerned about Ruth. Shouldn't she be with her daughter? The gossips shared her family's opinion and Ruth was sick of everyone having their own take on her situation. She decided to stand her ground and get on with her life.

Manu tried to be the best uncle he could but realised how hard being a parent is when he was left to babysit for a day. He asked Gina to look after the wee one for a bit and was surprised to discover Marty has no idea his daughter exists. He tied to talk some sense into Ruth but she flatly told him she's not coming back for Eilidh. Ever.

Ewan continued his crusade to win over Heather and he finally succeeded but the earth literally moved when part of the ceiling of Versus caved in! When Lenny got wind of her problems, he started talk of subsidence and suggested he buy the bar from her. Joanne reckoned it was a good idea cos she could then visit Freya but the thought of selling to Lenny was too awful for Heather. She called in her own surveyor but Lenny bribed him. Feeling helpless, she accepted Lenny's ever-decreasing offer.

A guilty Heather turned her attention to Joanne and admitted she'd slept with Ewan, unaware until then that Joanne had seen them together! Jo was determined to keep her man, no matter what, and refused to listen to her friend's warnings.

Heather's surveyor turned out to be a close friend (and colleague of McCabe!) and refused to do as Lenny instructed. Happy in the knowledge that her pub needs only a few repairs, she ripped up Lenny's contract and put him in his place. She sold all of his booze from under his nose, shut up shop and set about leaving.

Meanwhile, Joanne tried to keep her wayward boyfriend. She panicked when she thought he was going to dump her and told him she might be pregnant! He walked out and instead told Heather to stay with him, not knowing that Joanne was watching him run after her pal. Heather refused and left Shieldinch.
