News spread that Raymond was on his way back to Shieldinch so Scarlett and Jimmy had a frantic rush to get the pub ship-shape after another lock-in. They drafted in the love-struck Shona and the very disapproving Eileen. Raymond was delighted to discover the takings had doubled in his absence and decided to let Scarlett go ahead with plans for themed evenings!

Eileen was intrigued to see Raymond back without Sharon and interrogated him about his girlfriend. Convinced they'd split up, she encouraged Shona to make her move on him... but Sharon turned up and spoiled all their plans. Sharon made a play of grieving for her brother and soaked up Raymond's attention.

Eileen tried to stir up trouble but Sharon raised her game and proposed to her delighted man in front of everyone! She quietly told Eileen she'd have to move out and managed to orchestrate a huge upset in which Raymond told Eileen to move out. Eileen cannily played Sharon at her own game! She turned on the tears, lied a little and won back her home in the Tall Ship.

Ruth was clearly not coping with motherhood but was assured by the health visitor that it was perfectly normal. She found excuses to avoid contact with her baby, while Scott took to being a daddy like a duck to water and named his new daughter 'Eilidh'.

After a passing remark from Joanne, Ruth panicked about being left on her own so told Scott she'd name him as the father on the wee one's birth certificate. He was delighted but Gina was furious!

Rory and Nicki were traumatised by Zoe's departure. Rory turned on the hard man act and turned to booze. Big brother Ewan had to rescue him, which won him a few brownie points from Lydia. Rory's new drinking and smoking didn't really suit him but he impressed one young lady - he ended up getting it on with Iona!

Meanwhile, Amber came up with a plan to help Nicki and the pair hit the shops to spend the dirty money. Amber blackmailed Ewan into letting them stay in the portable building (he confided in her he'd only pretended to sleep with Zoe) and made it their own with masses of girlie home furnishings. Nicki, too, turned to booze and even Amber became alarmed by her behaviour. They fought and Nicki was left alone with her despair. She sent a plea to Rory for a chat but he was far too preoccupied to respond.
