Ruth got her divorce papers and her new positive mood was knocked out. Scott tried to help but Zoe was also happy to be her shoulder to cry on. Whilst Zoe confided that Rory might be 'the one', Ruth brought up Marty's infidelities. Her deliberate talk of his antics with prostitutes made Zoe squirm but as far as she knows her mate Ruth knows nothing of her guilt.
Raymond found Sharon crying and she told him her landlord was about to sell her flat so she'd have to find somewhere else to live. He let her take some time off to plead her case with him, which didn't go down well with Eileen, but she returned, claiming she'd got nowhere and that the landlord had propositioned her! Raymond was appalled and immediately offered her a place to stay. When Sharon turned up with her suitcase... well, let's just say Eileen has looked happier.
Making Eileen even angrier was Gina's stupidity. She couldn't believe she was repeating old mistakes. Gina and Malcolm made their peace and he encouraged Eileen to see her sister. Gina insisted she had married a new man but Eileen wasn't convinced. Archie met up with Houston and moaned about how he hates being Douglas, then got into an argument with Eileen in front of Gina and Liz. 'Douglas' suggested Eileen's vitriol was based on jealousy. The fight that followed ended up with Gina slapping her sister! Later, Archie cornered Eileen and was his old, nasty, threatening self. He warned her to keep away from him otherwise he'd tell everyone about her role in his 'death'.
Bob bought Charlie some presents! She got wind of it and forced him to show her but she was seriously unimpressed when she saw the hiking boots, jacket and compass that were waiting for her. She went mad when Bob explained they were for hikes on their honeymoon, and raged again about the lack of tickets to Chicago. After a pep talk from Jean, Charlie apologised to him but she'd already arranged a refund on the hiking gear. He wasn't happy. That, coupled with Deek's advice about standing up for himself, turned the tables. He had a go at her for not considering his feelings but when Jean jumped in and took Bob's side, Charlie had enough. She told Bob to get out! Jean tried to make her see that she was focusing too much on the wedding day and not on the marriage that followed, but that just made Charlie freak. She doesn't want to be a bored housewife at her husband's beck and call! Jean tracked Bob down and had some unexpected advice - it's not too late to back out of the wedding. Perhaps Charlie isn't the right woman for him?
