Making the unmissable, unmissable! Shirley was worried that nobody would turn up at Fi's funeral so was pleased when Gina and her whole brood arrived. Afterwards, though, Shirley was distraught and Viv tried to comfort her. She was gutted that so few people were there, compared to George's great farewell. Thankfully, recent events had prompted Shirley to take decisive action. She doesn't want to end up like Fi so she's determined to live her life to the full.
Rory and Zoe argued about the way he'd behaved towards Ewan. Luckily, Lydia suggested to Zoe that Rory needs a bit of a support so she gave him a chance to explain. He told her about the differences in the brothers' upbringing and explained that Ewan resents him for his closeness to Lenny. Their little chat brought them closer together and he promised never to take out his anger on her again.
Jamie found more excuses to hang around the deli but he hated hearing Iona rave about the stripper's body. Jamie's attentions were all too much for Iona and she decided to take action. Nicki tried to make amends with Jamie but he wasn't interested, so Iona interfered and tried to bring the pair back together. Under duress, Jamie agreed to go out with Nicki again but it was clear he didn't want to and as soon as they began to spend time together he ducked out and made yet another excuse to see Iona.
Archie woke up on the couch with an awful hangover and a whole heap of regret. Liz questioned him about his memory and he tried to play it down, insisting he's not the same man. She freaked out when she saw Archie and Gina together and wanted to know why he hadn't told her the truth. He explained he wants to be a better man but he manipulated her until she broke down. She revealed the truth about what had happened the night he disappeared, and begged for forgiveness. He said he'd forgive her but he had an agenda - he's not going to tell Gina about his memory and she had to agree with him. He convinced her that he really has changed! However, once bitten, twice shy... Liz told him if he ever tries to hurt Gina again then she'd do everything she can to stop him. And, as ever, Eileen isn't falling for any of his 'Douglas' nonsense. How long can he keep this up?!
