Carly was sick fed up of working her fingers to the bone in the Grill. Since Liam left she's been doing everything! She quit! Raymond struggled to keep things going, no thanks to Eileen, but his day improved when Sharon turned up to see him. She wanted to cancel their date tomorrow night but when she was the state he was in, she offered to help in the kitchen. It turns out she's a dab hand in a restaurant, and her efforts were appreciated by the customers! Eileen was unimpressed to find her there but soon had to admit she was worth hanging on to. She gave Sharon a job!

Scarlett was freaking out having Alfie's ashes in the flat so persuaded Jimmy to part with them. With Bob and a cynical Charlie, they released Alfie's ashes over one of his favourite spots.

Fi continued her campaign to let the world know Douglas is really Archie, but she was too inebriated for anyone to listen. Archie enjoyed her struggle whilst everyone defended him. Gina was worried about his reaction to her big confession the previous night but after a little time on his own, he pretended he was just fine. However, he started a conversation with Liz about Archie's behaviour and asked her why she hadn't tried to kill him in his sleep! She was a bit shaken up and suspicious when he mentioned Fi's alcoholism. How did he know? He came up with an excuse and went on his way, happy to be stirring up trouble.

Viv noticed Fi drinking and told Shirley. Shirley tried to help her old friend but she was jealous of Viv, and insisted there was nothing left to fight for. Shirley told her how much she means to her and Fi kissed her! Shirley was pretty shocked and Fi was so embarrassed she ran back to the flat and packed her stuff. She's leaving.

Archie found her in McGrade & Kydd, and plied her with vodka. He admitted that he remembers everything! She told him he wouldn't get away with it and started trying to call some friends in high places. Archie immediately took control, threw her phone into the vodka and got violent. He threatened her but she managed to shake him off. She ran outside to her car, leaving him a bit dazed from a fall. She jumped in the car and drove off, well and truly over the limit... and crashed headfirst into a taxi. With blood trickling down her forehead, she whispered for help but Archie just stood back and watched.
