Scarlett overheard Jimmy talking to Madonna - he's determined to get back on his feet! She told him not to rush things and he was suspicious about her fussing. Raymond assured him she knew nothing and continued to help him train. Some yelping outside distracted them and Raymond found himself chasing away a ned, who was beating up a poor greyhound! Jimmy immediately took to the dog, named him Alfie, and decided he'd look after him until he could find him a new home. Scarlett, however, had something to say about that! She didn't want a mutt around the house and told Jimmy to get rid. Jimmy had other ideas and decided to stay the night in his training shed with Alfie! Scarlett felt sorry for him and took them some food but he's still not getting in her flat!
Shona was preparing for a big presentation about the community centre, and Carly provided some welcome assistance. The package they came up with to try to convince bigwigs to invest their cash was, well, less than professional! Scott was pretty horrified and stepped in to help. Shona was delighted but poor Carly was pushed right out the picture! Happily, the presentation went well and Shona now has her fingers crossed she gets the go-ahead!
Viv did some detective work to find out Shirley's likes and dislikes, so she could pad out her pal's online dating profile! She'd just about got away with it when Shirley spotted her picture on Viv's laptop, and was horrified. She couldn't believe that she'd gone behind her back and had already selected some potential men for her to date! Viv said some harsh words ("remember it's George who died, not you!") which made matters worse... but Shirley realised she needs to move on. She's going to give the dating a go!
Ewan was fed up at work - he was getting no respect and didn't want to be seen just as Lenny's son. Lenny decided to give him a test and told him to go demand overdue money from someone. However, that someone was Jimmy. Ewan hesitated but he had to prove himself so he pulled himself together and threatened Jimmy. Jimmy didn't have a clue what he was on about and Ewan, reluctantly, started to get heavy with him. Lenny stepped in just in the nick of time! He pretended there'd been a mistake, chucked some cash at Jimmy, and led Ewan away. He's passed his test, but at what cost?
Meanwhile, Kelly was in turmoil about the men in her life. Michael called and she confessed all. She told him she wanted to split up but he told her to go to Peru to work things out! Kelly ran to her mum for advice but it's clear Scarlett isn't convinced she really loves Michael. Against her better judgement, Scarlett told her that if she really likes Ewan (Murdoch or no Murdoch) then she should go for it. So, Kelly tried to talk to Ewan. Unfortunately for her, Lenny had just laid down the law - he's got to concentrate on business so no romantic distractions! - and Ewan had no choice but to turn her away. She was shocked and Ewan looked pretty upset...
