Making the unmissable, unmissable!

Scarlett and Lydia bickered as they tried to 'help' Shona blag raffle prizes for her fete, to raise money for the community centre. They tried to outdo each other but, as usual, it was Scarlett who lost out. She eventually managed to wheedle some booze and vouchers from Raymond and Eileen, but it just doesn't match Lydia's contribution!

Lydia invited Jodie to dinner. Jodie's clearly got her eye on Whiteside and she asked him along. He wasn't expecting to find himself dining with Lenny Murdoch though! It was a strange dinner as Lenny told tales of his shady past and Whiteside pretended to be mock shocked.

Lenny wound Whiteside up by flirting with Jodie but it was Whiteside she took home with her. The sexual tension was electric as she toyed with him but he got little more than a peck on the cheek. Jodie told him they'd take things slowly but they'd be seeing a lot more of each other.

Joanne insisted Ruth should tell Marty about the baby cos she's going to need his financial support. Ruth flatly refused but Jo took matters into her own hands and called Marty herself. He sneaked back into town, terrified of being seen by Lenny, and was disappointed to find it wasn't Ruth who was waiting for him. He tried to leave but was stopped in his tracks when Jo told him Ruth's pregnant. Jo took him to the flat, where Ruth was horrified to see him.

Marty grovelled and begged Ruth for forgiveness - this is their second chance! She was disgusted and told him that she had an abortion so there's no baby. He was raging and turned on her. He told her she was a crap wife and that's why he'd slept with prostitutes! There were slaps and very nasty words. Marty walked out and left Ruth sobbing. Marty set upon Zoe and told her he would ruin her for wrecking his life... so it was a bit confusing when he saw Zoe being all pally with his wife! He forced his way into his flat and tried to apologise again to Ruth but the pair ended up fighting. Ruth was horrified that he'd slept with prostitutes but he fought back and asked if it was okay to be friends with one... he told a shocked Ruth that Zoe was the "filthy whore" that he'd slept with.
