Gerry tried again to get Heather on side but she'd had enough. She packed up all his belongings and changed the locks. He pleaded with her to help him - he knows he has a problem, he's going to rehab, he needs her. But she's raging that she's facing a drug possession charge and he's done nothing to help. Scott reassured her that she was doing the right thing, and asked Gerry to stop emotionally blackmailing Heather. Once again, Gerry turned to cocaine. So much for rehab.
Nicki was worried that Jamie was avoiding her and confided in Amber about the first time they had sex. Amber can't keep anything to herself though and teased Jamie, which just led to bad feeling between them all.
Raymond arranged his first date with Polly and was really excited until a few comments from Eileen got him worried about his wardrobe. He cornered Marty for some inspiration and soon looked like a carbon copy of the younger, trendier man. Eileen warned him he should take it easy in case he gets hurt or makes a fool of himself but nothing could stop him. He hosted cocktails for Polly and her mates at the Ship, and was delighted he was going clubbing with them!
Marty was feeling ill again and it was hard to rest when Jo was letting the kids run amock in the flat. All pleas for silence fell on deaf ears and, eventually, Ruth told Jo she'd have to get her own place. That didn't go down well! Ruth's priority is Marty - she and Marty have decided that trying for a baby is their focus. However, a trip to Dr Lau suggests they have bigger things to concern them. She grew concerned as Marty revealed a few more symptoms than she'd expect from just a bug... if he wasn't a happily married man then she'd suspect he has syphilis!
