  • Gina and a gun

Nicki was disgusted with Zoe and Marty, and couldn't believe how duplicitous Marty was when it came to Ruth. He then tried to buy Nicki's silence! Zoe immediately panicked, thinking he was wanting more from her sister, and warned him she'd tell his wife everything if he didn't leave them alone. The two had a very nasty slanging match.

Nicki was confused after sleeping with Jamie as she realised what a big step sex was. So her sister's insistence that she and Marty was "just sex" made matters worse. Initially rejecting Jamie, the pair made up but wholly agreed to take things slowly, and not be pressured by anyone else.

Fed up with being skint, Kelly-Marie and Jimmy put their heads together and came up with a festive money-making scheme - Santa's grotto! As soon as Scarlett got involved, the plan ramped up and it was decided that Jimmy would be Santa!

Sonny provided the transport to move Gina and Liz's stuff and was entertained by Malcolm's historical tales of Shieldinch, and seemed very interested to hear that the Conway Spices building was unused.

Bob was also roped into helping Gina and Liz move and found himself offering them storage space at Billy's flat, which did not amuse Charlie. Meanwhile, he managed to lose (and then break) some of Billy's precious crystal! He was put firmly in the doghouse but Scarlett threw him a lifeline when she discovered the crystal was practically worthless. That almost saved his bacon... but taking all the grotto's presents home put him right back at square one!

Gina and Liz got emotional as they packed up their belongings and prepared to leave the Buchanan house for good. Malcolm tried to comfort them but it wasn't easy for Liz. Left on her own for a bit, she found some old gladrags to amuse her so by the time Gina came home the mood was altogether lighter. They had a bit of a laugh until they discovered something awful in an old handbag - a gun! Realising Archie had been up to even more badness than they'd suspected, they decided to hide it again and not say a word to the police. Liz's departure was haunted by nostalgia and we were given a glimpse of her life with Richard and Archie.
