Zoe paid Deek his rent and told Nicki she'd got a big bonus from the PR event. Then she pretended to Angela that everything had gone just fine, and she'd do it again. Her client was full of praise for her, and when another client called up to ask for someone, Zoe accepted the job.

Lenny turned up in Med Dreams like a bad smell and started harassing Marty about the rumours he's heard about Niamh's swift exit. He started hounding Marty for answers and then offered his own - he's going to put his money in and take 755 of the profits. Marty had no choice. Bob and Charlie were horrified to find Lenny in the office and demanded their money back. They were expecting to be in their home by Christmas! Legally, they could lose that deposit but Lenny made a "goodwill gesture" and gave them a cheque. Charlie's devastated but Bob doesn't want anything to do with a business venture of Lenny's.

Gina prepared for her first proper day back at work and Liz tried to convince her she's just fine. But she kept saying things like "don't be too hard on yourself" and Gina couldn't stop worrying about her. Malcolm decided to look in on her but found Liz in a strange mood. She had wanted a day just to herself - she wanted to look through memories from Archie's childhood and try to block out the horror of what had happened. Instead she sat and analysed everything from the past, trying to figure out why Archie had turned out the way he did.

She admitted she didn't blame herself for his death - he was a nasty piece of work and it was bound to end tragically - but she did blame herself for who he became. What DID she do wrong? She became more and more obsessed by it, whilst Malcolm tried to make her feel better. He decided tea wasn't enough and they had a wee dram of whisky to boost their spirits. Malcolm, however, immediately fell asleep!

Back in Shieldinch, Lydia was nervous on the day of the boutique opening. She shouldn't have been cos everyone loved the place. Ladies were queuing up to get in and Scarlett gave her the lowdown on everyone! "That Heather's loaded, keep hold of her." And of Nicki and Zoe: "Nae mother, nae money. Ah, let them look." The party was in full swing when the door opened and Lenny walked in. Charlie was shellshocked and Scarlett freaked! She started yelling he's a crook and became more incensed when she found out he's Lydia's husband. She went on about how he tried to kill Bob and when Lydia told her to stop it, she walked out and dragged everyone with her.

By the end of the day, Eileen and Gina were having a few drinks to celebrate the fact Liam had bought into the Grill (Eileen's ego had driven him mad and she eventually caved in to an ultimatum - he was ready to walk out again) and joked that Liz and Malcolm had maybe got together in their absence. They got home to find the two asleep on the couch. Eileen gently woke Malcolm but Liz was out for the count. It was only when Gina saw a bottle of pills on the table that panic set in... Liz has taken an overdose!
