The Tall Ship was getting a revamp but Raymond was concerned about the poor business The Grill was getting since Liam left. Carly made it clear she couldn't help so Raymond had to don a pinny himself and get cooking! Sadly, his efforts weren't going down very well and Carly went on strike... then Liam walked in! Hurrah! He's not coming back to work. Boo! Carly then pointed out his name was still on the menus so his reputation was going down the pan... and that was enough to get him back in the kitchen!
The Adams family got awfully excited at Jimmy's return from hospital - they went all out with balloons and banners and prawn cocktail crisps! But it was all in vain. Jimmy came home and admitted his feelings were phantom sensations - just a trick of the mind. Everyone was gutted but Jimmy became determined - he's going to get out of that chair and on his feet before wee Madonna starts walking!
Kelly-Marie and Heather discussed how tough it is for Michael to be so far away, and Heather admitted her and Gerry haven't had it too easy either. She and Gerry tried to go out for the night but the rain drove them home and all hell erupted when Scott gave Gerry an envelope from Jake that contained coke! Heather went mad about it despite his claims he knew nothing about it. She only calmed down when Scott found the note from Jake - it was a wee surprise present. Gerry WAS telling the truth.
Liz was upset to realise she'd forgotten it was Archie's birthday but Eileen had managed to get hold of some more pills so got all set to drug her. Liz was edgy about it and when she started talking about Archie drugging her, Gina realised her husband was worse than she thought. And she immediately refused to drug Liz again. Instead, she decided to keep Liz with her and took her into Shieldinch. Bad idea. Liz had an erratic conversation with Gerry and then told Charlie she'd killed Archie! It was quickly all over town but, of course, nobody believed her. Even Niamh and Yvonne reckoned the old dear was losing it but Niamh resolved to find out the truth when it was pointed out she's the only lead the police have.
Eileen, Gina and Liz made their peace with each other and admitted everyone was doing what they thought best. All for one and one for all... which was just as well cos Niamh broke into the Buchanan house! She scared the living daylights out of them and told them straight - she knows they're covering for Archie and she wants to know where he's run off to. Gina is obviously deluding herself that he wants to be with her again... besides they're up to their neck in perverting justice. Niamh very much thinks she's in control.
