Liam was inspired by the success of his Hallowe'en night (and Raymond's praise!) and decided it would be a good idea to invest his money in The Grill. He figured that Eileen just isn't that interested in the place and he could really do things with it. Eileen (unsurprisingly distracted by the thought she might end up in jail) didn't take his suggestion well. He forced her into making a decision there and then, so she said no. He took that *rather* badly and quit! Liam, don't go!
Jimmy got a telling off from Dr Lau for missing phsyio appointments. He's lost his positive attitude and he doesn't seem to realise how important it is for his recovery. As a result he rowed with Scarlett and she angrily left him to make his own breakfast. That wasn't such a good idea cos he only ended up being distracted by horse racing and the grill went on fire! He used his initiative and managed to put it out but he fell out his chair and was left helpless. His panic quickly subsided though when he realised he could feel his foot!
Billy was all set to leave Shieldinch but his mates weren't up for a proper farewell. Little did he know Shirley had a surprise do all planned. So sneaky! Tina contributed to the party but she felt it'd be too painful to say goodbye. Scott managed to convince her so she headed to the salon for what was an awkward conversation. But that awkward hug nearly led to a kiss... if only Marty hadn't interrupted! So, as Billy jumped in a taxi to set off for London, there was definitely a hint of unfinished business with him and Tina. Awww.
Liz's confession really confused the police. Harry insisted she was deluded but DCI Whiteside made him bring Gina in for questioning. She didn't know what her mother-in-law had said but she explained that Liz was barely functioning. Whiteside decided the stories just didn't add up but his theory was very, very wrong! He became convinced that they women were covering for Archie - he's surely very much alive and far away. Liz was horrified to be sent home from the station and immediately began planning confessing again. Eileen had to think fast - they'd have to keep Liz in the house, playing the grieving mother role... and the only way to do that is to drug her! Eileen's looking after number one from now on.
