Billy's boys' night out had obviously included one young lady, which Shirley teased him about when he turned up to work late the next morning, a little worse for wear. It turned out that girl was Zoe's pal Sophie who turned up to retrieve a lost ipod, and for a wee flirt! Feeling a little old for his usual choice of ladies, Billy agreed to go out for a friendly drink with Shirley and admitted he always chooses the wrong woman. He also admitted he's very interested in a proposal to run a salon in London. Afraid of letting Shirley down, he was pleased when she was really supportive and advised him to go for it!

Scarlett tried to make Jimmy feel better about his impotence - she reckons she can do without sex so they'll be just fine! All the fussing was continuing to get to him though and he snapped at her and Kelly-Marie. A trip to the doc confirmed there was no physical progress but it was early days and he should be positive. Unconvinced, he continued to suffer in self-pity. In the end he put his frustration to better use

Fi was curiously questioning Deek about his feelings when Alice turned up after all those years, and she had to call her AA sponsor cos her guilt was making her want to turn to drink again. She began missing client meetings and Gerry was getting ratty about it (he was also turning, yet again, to the coke).

The Archie situation was causing irreparable damage in the lives of all of his women. Niamh had a slightly hysterical outburst in public, talking to Yvonne after she found out the police had found a body, and Liz seemed to be becoming deluded! She started whimpering about a time when her son once went missing in a crowd in Hope Street, years and years ago, and went on about her guilt, seemingly mixing her feelings from the past with today's panic. She certainly confused DCI Whiteside, who turned up to ask someone to identify the body. Liz became more and more panicky, going on and on about graphical descriptions of dead bodies and other yucky stuff, Gina became more annoyed and Eileen resentful.

Gina started to feel sick and asked her horrified sister if she'd identify the body! Eventually, Eileen agreed but needed some dutch courage before facing the family with her findings - it wasn't Archie! Eileen was raging at Gina cos she'd got everyone into this mess. Flustered, Gina started to talk about going to the police - maybe it's not too late? But as far as Eileen's concerned, it's far, far too late.
