Niamh told Yvonne she's sure Gina knows about her and Archie, and set about doing something about it. When Gina was out, Niamh broke into the Buchanan house and started rifling through a desk for answers. A snoozing Liz was nearby and was startled when she woke. Niamh pretended she was there out of concern and friendship, and Liz became increasingly distressed.

Niamh tried to question her about Archie and hit upon something when Liz's "slip of the tongue" kept referring to Archie in the past tense. Before she could dig deeper, Gina came home and was furious to find Niamh there. She yelled at her and threw her out, before having to console a distraught Liz.

Tina and Jamie returned home from Aberdeen, having safely deposited Paul at school. Tina apologised to her elder son for not handling things well but he brushed it away. Then she tried to make amends with Billy and as disappointed that he didn't want to pick up where they'd left off.

Zoe pulled out all the stops to prepare for posh pal Sophie's visit. Deek and Carly took the mickey and were amazed to hear Zoe talking as though she owned the flat! Sophie was obviously used to the finer things in life but they all had a laugh together. Carly, however, made sure Zoe knew what she thought of Zoe's new grand, fake life. Zoe refused to admit she was doing anything wrong - Carly clearly just lacks ambition! That was enough for Carly and she walked out.

Life in a wheelchair was really starting to get to Jimmy - he felt useless and couldn't bear people's patronising behaviour towards him. Bob and Kelly-Marie were determined Scarlett would make him see sense but as far as she was concerned she'd done all she could. She'd told him she loved him and he didn't want to know. Short of banging their heads together, KM and Bob were fighting a losing battle.

Raymond became concerned when Jimmy turned his attention to booze and eventually he had to call Scarlett. She rushed over to the pub and repeated herself till she was blue in the face - she loves him! As far as Jimmy was concerned though, she just didn't like that he'd stopped chasing her. He upset her and she ran off but a few words from Raymond sent him after her. He FINALLY admitted that he believes her and he loves her, and they kissed! Awww. It's about time.
