Archie put his plan into action and pretended to be all depressed in front of his loving wife and mother. "It's all because Patrick is dumping the case cos it's hopeless!", he whimpered so Liz was astonished when Patrick turned up on their doorstep, concerned for Archie! She found out her son hadn't been returning his calls and had hired dodgy Charlie Houston instead. She confronted him so he thought quickly and changed his story - he'd dumped Patrick a month ago cos it was all so hopeless. Ah, but in that case who did he have for dinner? Oops, it was his new lawyer, of course. Gina was shocked but the new, depressed Archie turned it round to make everyone else feel bad and stormed off, shouting that he's had enough of being doubted and talked about! He'd be better off dead!

Paul tried to be the big man again but Tina's new assertiveness put a quick stop to it. Inside she's shaking though and, on Jamie's advice, went to apologise to Scott and tell him what had happened. Scott reassured her that she's doing what she has to do. Shona's few words to the tabloid journo were twisted and turned into a front page story. Anxious to set the record straight, she was determined to explain to Raymond what had happened and she even stopped Queen Bee Roisin in her tracks - it's about time she realises Raymond has nothing to feel guilty for! She managed to tell Raymond and hopes they can be friends but he's hurting too much to think straight right now. Shona admitted she's struggling to see Raymond every day so Roisin suggested she goes back on the cruise with her, and enjoy a holiday. Roisin might have an ulterior motive though cos she confessed to Alanna that she met a man on the boat! She's not saying anything else but she seems pretty loved up.

Jimmy was full of the joys of, er, autumn after Terri's visit and invited her round for dinner. Determined to do everything himself, he was frustrated to find he was too restricted because of his chair so Kelly stepped in and helped him. Scarlett was annoyed to find out he wanted a cosy night in for two and was on the verge of telling him what Terri's really like but Kelly stopped him and went on to warn Terri not to mess with Jimmy. Terri was smug because of her imminent dinner but her face fell when she realised it was just going to be her and Jimmy, with no Scarlett to snipe at and make a show for. So she headed off with another man instead, leaving Scarlett to go home and break the news to a gutted Jimmy.
