Scott was on edge after calling social services and tried to talk to Tina but she blamed him for EVERYTHING bad that had happened to her family. She told him to stay away from them. Jamie was gutted but had to make a choice… pushing Scott out of his life. Zoe was under pressure, looking after herself and her little sister. Alanna told her she was daft to take on more shifts and tried to suggest Nicki got a part-time job. Nicki felt guilty but Zoe insisted she could manage. Marty had missed a deadline on Montego Heights and incurred the wrath of Lenny Murdoch. Whilst Ruth was keen to talk about their own flat, Marty struggled to deal with Lenny's threats.

Gerry's behaviour confused Heather - one minute he's all over her, the next it's all business - and it was clear she was after more than friendship from her ex. It must have been a desperate situation cos she took advice from man-eater Iona! Talked into chatting to/up a cute young man in Versus, she gave up as it looked like Gerry didn't care and, instead of taking the guy up on his offer to go out, she headed home. Gerry, meanwhile, had seen sense and was planning a wee surprise for her. It nearly all fell apart but by the end of the night they were snogging in front of all and sundry in Versus.

Niamh wound Archie up as he tried to show her how serious he is about her (yeah, right!) - if they were a normal couple they'd have a nice dinner in together. She misjudged his tenacity though cos he managed to persuade Gina to cook a fancy dinner for him and his "lawyer", made Liz go out for the evening and put Gina's nose out of joint by forcing her out the house, too. Niamh had the good grace to feel uncomfortable with the situation but she was soon persuaded to relax. Meanwhile, Liz was growing bored of being turfed out for the evening and headed home with Gina, not knowing that Archie was still getting up close and personal with his lover. Niamh figured it was as good a time as any to tell Gina the truth but when it came to the crunch she fell for Archie's wily ways and hid whilst he sent Liz and Gina to bed. Just how long can he keep this a secret?!
