Diamond earringsTony, Iona and RoisinTina and Paul

Gina was annoyed to find Archie poring over the Oyster's books. It's none of his business! He claimed to be helping but was disappointed the café isn't making as much as he hoped. They argued and he headed off to pawn a pair of diamond earrings he'd nicked from Liz but he was angry to hear how little they're worth. Then he saw Niamh in her big, posh motor and started to form another plan. He sent her flowers and proclaimed his love - they'll be together. She took the bait and texted him 'is that your best shot?'. Gina had apologised to him and Niamh was coming back for more - he's got them both just where he wants them. Lydia's plans for her new boutique got underway as she began to revamp the old Chinese takeaway, while Lenny started to consider the impact it would have on his bank balance.

It was the day before Shona's court case and Iona was struggling to be positive as Roisin assured her all would be fine. Gerry was lording it up, chatting to the tabloid hack, talking up his successes. It's clear he has no real care for Shona, he just expects her case to make his name. Tony turned up to rub Roisin and Iona's noses in it, and then set his sights on Raymond. Raymond had just been convinced by Roisin that he shouldn't go to court. How could he cope with the guilt if she went down? So, just as he was content with his decision, Tony came in and messed it up. He wound him up again and again about how he knew Shona better than Raymond, he's the only one she's really married to and she's going to get what she deserves. When Raymond caved and smugly told him his plan not to appear in court, Tony threatened him he could lose his pub licence. It gave Raymond something to think about as Tony wandered off to call the police.

Paul was his usual troublesome self, causing hassle for Jamie and winding him and Nicki up. Tina pretty much let him away with it but he was surprised when Nicki and Jamie turned the tables and started to tease him. Then when the lot of them gently started to make fun of him, it got too much and he made jibes at Nicki about Robert. She got upset and ran off, and Jamie was annoyed Paul had upset her and spoiled their night. By the time Jamie got home, Tina had attempted to discipline her son but it was water off a duck's back. Jamie took the bull by the horns and started fighting his brother. Yet again, it was up to Tina to break them up but this time Paul elbowed her in the face. She was left lying on the ground unconscious as Paul disappeared out the flat.
