Scarlett was dragged along to the hospital to visit Jimmy, despite her insistence she’s giving up – she’s sure Jimmy said I love you to Terri. And it seems Terri is too. She was in pride of place by Jimmy’s bedside with Leanne when the Adams family turned up, and she wasted no time in declaring herself a miracle worker. More importantly, the newly-awake Jimmy revealed that he has no feelings in his legs. The doctors were doing tests, tests and more tests but it looks like damage to his spine. He was down but calm compared to an incensed Scarlett. She was shouting so much that he asked her to leave – he wants to be left alone with Terri. Lydia started to settle in to Shieldinch, registering at the doctor and happily chatting to Tina. She was horrified when she put her foot in it and Tina explained her husband is dead. If only she knew who had killed him Speaking of which, her own husband showed off his new premises – Wok My World.
He wants her to run it, to turn it into anything she wants (she’s planning a new boutique, but web readers have known that for ages!), she can even have the profit as long as she leaves the behind the scenes business to him. Tina broke up a fight between Jamie and Paul, putting the blame on Jamie for not setting an example. He confided in Nicki but wouldn’t tell her exactly what’s going on. He’s down because of his exam results and doesn’t think his mum cares about him cos she’s far too interested in Paul. Nicki tried to help but he headed home, afraid to leave his mum alone with his brother. When Tina saw him, he told her how he was feeling and she apologised – being a single mum is difficult and she’ll try to do better. Fi was annoyed to find Gerry talking to the gutter press – Gerry was cockily chatting about Shona’s case and the journo was trying to dig about Archie. Gerry insisted it was just PR for the new business.
Archie forced his lawyer Charlie to find out some information about the new judge and he orchestrated a ‘chance’ meeting – oh, how convenient that he saved her bag from a mugger and painted himself as a great guy! To repay him, she took him for a cuppa and they were getting on famously until he revealed his name as though he didn’t know she was presiding over his case. She got angry and sent him packing. He headed back to Charlie to admit he’s made matters much worse but he has an idea he asked Charlie to help him get a fake passport so he can do a bunk!
