Nicki was out of sorts and admitted to Zoe that Shirley was being weird. Zoe headed round there to speak to Shirley but was shocked to hear Shirley had actually scared her wee sister. She had a go at her - she's supposed to be looking after her, it's all Shirley's fault for not believing Nicki in the first place. Shirley told her it was everyone's fault cos nobody listened to her. But Zoe had decided - Nicki's moving back in with her permanently. Shirley was left devastated. An unshaven Raymond wasn't coping and reading a letter from Shona was too much. He decided to start chucking out her stuff… He took her things round to Iona, who tried to make him see Shona just made a mistake. He's not got over this though and ended up crying his eyes out.

Archie had to apologise to Gina for his drunkenness and she became less and less tolerant as she felt folk gossiping around her. She ended up having a go at Archie - she's risked everything for him but she's had enough. He's on his own! He realised he'd kind of shot himself in the foot then cos he'd earlier pushed Niamh away by pretending he didn't remember their kiss. That was enough for her too and Archie was left alone.

Wedding fever hit Shieldinch despite Bob's insistence to keep his 'engagement' secret. Talk of rings, dresses and dates drove him round the bend whilst Charlie confidentially told Carly. Scarlett told Gina. Carly told Deek, who already knew. Ach, you get the picture! On Scarlett's suggestion, Charlie invited her mum Jean round but she turned out to a grumpy woman who wasn't at all happy to be dragged to Shieldinch without knowing why. She was less pleased when Gina accidentally announced Charlie's engagement. Uh oh. There was many an awkward silence round at Scarlett's but that broke when Bob came home and it all got too much. He shouted and broke the news to Charlie that he hadn't actually proposed. He doesn't want to get married…
