Billy urged Tina to be strong, make up her own mind and ignore Paul’s interference. Of course, he doesn’t know that Paul hit her Paul apologised to her and she took a stand, making sure he knew he’d overstepped the mark. But when he started playing with a lighter and burned his hand, she devoted more time to him and Jamie, and missed a lunch date with Billy. He wasn’t happy. Scott tried to be there for Tina but she can’t tell anyone about Paul and turned Scott away. Meanwhile, Billy was also worrying about Shirley who couldn’t bring herself to leave the house or go to work. She was terrified that Robert was nearby.
Archie was being grumpy and awkward, and Gina was feeling put out. It got worse when Archie's credit card was refused at the Grill - he was humiliated and barked at Gina to give him some time his own. He tried to soften the blow but she's not happy. Niamh found him drinking in Versus and told him she was sorry things had worked out the way they had - she never meant it to get this far. He apologised too but didn’t look enamoured when Niamh told him she’d be there for him if he needed her. Meanwhile, Billy was also worrying about Shirley who couldn’t bring herself to leave the house or go to work. She was terrified that Robert was nearby. Fi took up Gerry’s offer to set up business together but she wasn’t in the mood for celebrating - she couldn’t believe she’d had to shop Archie Buchanan.
Charlie was concerned about Bob, who seemed more and more distant. Carly, however, had a confidential chat with Bob and put two and two together to make five. He reckoned things were going too fast and wants things to be special, for them to happen in their own time. Carly ran with the idea Bob would propose and immediately told Charlie. That was enough to cheer her up (which confused Bob no end) and she ran out to spend more money on the flat. When she got back, Bob freaked out and tried to tell her how he felt but with Carly and Scarlett’s suppositions in mind, Charlie got the wrong end of the stick and she said yes! Yes to Bob’s non-existent marriage proposal. Uh oh.
