Archie came home after Gina remortgaged the Oyster to put up his bail. But neither his wife nor mother were pleased to see him return - they've just gone through too much and Liz seemed to be wondering if he was best left in jail! He had to spin a huge sob story to win Gina over (she was all he could think about in his cell, has always loved her, blah blah) but Liz obviously isn't convinced. His situation was having an effect on others, too. Yvonne was determined to celebrate his incarceration so she and Niamh shared champagne in Versus, but Niamh didn't seem in a very celebratory mood. Gerry, however, was becoming much more optimistic. He's mad that Archie nearly destroyed his livelihood and suggested to Fi that they set up their own business. He even shared a wee toast with Heather.
Billy and Tina went to the Ship for drinks at lunchtime, despite Paul's gurning face. They even spent an evening in watching a film with the boys but Paul's bad behaviour spoiled the night. Carly reassured Charlie that everything's fine between them, whilst Bob confided in Deek that things are just moving too fast. Then Charlie took cushion-buying to extremes and they ended up fighting. She told him she needs to know if he doesn't want to move in with her and he just caved - of course he does, he's just tired, he loves the cushions! Hmmm. Iona asked Raymond if she should tell Roisin about Shona. He was raging about the whole situation (to the extent of driving punters out his pub with his anger) but said not to involve her. Iona did call Roisin but couldn't bring herself to tell her.
Billy tried again to warn Shirley off Robert and she certainly isn't falling for his niceties any more although she put his rage down to missing George. A likely story! He wasn't at all happy when she turned down his company in favour for a night in on her own, and promptly headed to George's bench where he chatted to his brother, resentfully. Shirley found him vandalising the bench and that was too much - she didn't believe his excuses and stormed off while he yelled at her not to walk away from him. She rushed home to find Nicki but Robert followed her and reminded her, threateningly, NOT to walk away
