Harry was perplexed that Eddie seems to be clearing Lenny’s name and Scott was incensed. Harry confronted Whiteside but he didn’t give anything away – in fact, he just told him Eddie had been reckless and Harry should keep his mouth shut! The dodgy DCI then went to a very suspicious meeting with Lenny – it seems they both got what they wanted from Eddie’s death! However, Lenny was a bit put out when Whiteside made sure he knew who was in charge. Paul and Jamie fought again. Jamie confided in Scott that he feels left out and everyone’s only interested in Paul’s happiness. Scott explained how proud Eddie was of him, and they had a lovely bonding moment, but he later had a good cry when he chatted to Heather about missing a part of his life.
Jake flirted with Scott. No, actually, he was far more forthright than that but seemed genuinely sorry when Scott told him his partner had recently died and he wasn’t at all ready to go out with anyone. Shona was stressed out, knowing Tony’s around, and Raymond was less than impressed when she turned down a big dinner he’d gone to great lengths to organise for her. He’s been getting cookery lessons from Liam! Scarlett wasn’t happy to see Terri cooing over Madonna (and Jimmy!) and her day didn’t improve when he suggested she had a night out then offered to babysit. It looks like Jimmy’s moving on. Terri, however, seemed unimpressed by all his chat about Scarlett and Madonna when they went out for a drink later that night.
Niamh showed Yvonne a scrapbook she’s kept all about Archie, with loads of photos from their past and press cuttings. She’s decided to show it to Liz! Even dodgy Yvonne had to admit that it was a step too far and Liz doesn’t deserve it. She reckoned Niamh should stop being so bitter and start building bridges. Niamh was nearly swayed but she made a quick call to her mum, which didn’t go well. It sounds like she’s been cut off from her family. So she arranged a catch-up with Liz and was all ready to reveal the truth but Liz was way too nice, raved on about the value of loyalty, and told her to consider her as family. It was all too much and Niamh broke down in tears. She also had a horrible, bitter conversation with Gerry, and felt even more alone when Yvonne went out on a date.
