Ruth clearly is starting to fall back into her old ways. She got very clumsy and compulsive about cleaning and thought she saw Jo in the street… and it was enough to worry Malcolm and Marty. Malcolm went mad when he saw her and blamed Marty for bringing all her problems back. Jimmy tried to talk to Scarlett about Madonna but she wouldn't give him any time. Only when she realised he was involving Gerry did she take any interest. Jimmy's sick of playing by her rules and told her so - he wants Madonna to spend time at his but she wasn't having it. He doesn't want her treating Madonna the way she treated Kelly Marie (and that earned him a slap) and he's going to do something about it.

The feud between the Rossis and McIntyres reached pantomime proportions as Iona pelted Gina's car with tomatoes, and ended up directing one straight at Gina! As Roisin, Iona, Gina and Eileen argy-bargied in the street, the police got involved and had to threaten them with jail before they shut up. Archie was furious that Gina had embarrassed him in front of Harry. After all, she's a lawyer's wife! Roisin was sick of it - she's away off on her cruise and she really doesn't want this to worry about.

Harry was raging cos Eddie's come out at work, despite his warnings against it. He's the talk of the steamie and it's not doing Harry or his colleagues any good. Eddie defended his actions - he's happier than he's ever been. He broke the news to his family and their chat ended with lots of happy, smiley "I love you" moments. Meanwhile he's got a surprise for Scott - he's got champagne and an engagement ring all ready! Scott got off work early, too excited to wait any longer for Eddie's surprise, but another visitor turned up at Eddie's door. We didn't see who it was but they had a gun… and they shot him. Dead.
