Archie was troubled by a tape Niamh's sent, reminding him of his secrets. Luckily, Liz is okay and has just a sprained ankle but her accusation that Archie pushed her down the stairs fell on deaf ears - it's only adding to the impression she's losing her mind. Archie was still trying to keep Niamh at bay… we don't think snogging her is the way to go! Jimmy tried to comfort Kelly-Marie and suggests Michael may not be such a bad move but she wishes she'd never come home. Scarlett is not impressed Jimmy's talking to her daughter again but he's starting to wonder why Scarlett is getting sooo incensed about the situation. Michael tried again to talk to Kelly but she still can't admit/deny any feelings, she's far more concerned by why Michael and Scarlett are no longer bosom buddies.

George got more and more het up about his restricted lifestyle, which made things even more difficult for Shirley who was beating herself up for all the things she's not said to him. As he got worse, Jessica warned Shirley she'd need to prepare herself. Fi made her feel a bit better but it's clear there's not long to go. Paul's new school seems to be really good and it's nearly time for him to leave but Tina's panicking again and again about sending her boy away. Poor Paul (we never thought we'd say that) doesn't want any new stuff, he just wants to stay home. There was big emotional chat with plenty of hugging but nothing's changed.

Gina was getting more and more worried about Ruth's coping strategy ("it's like talking to a big smiley brick wall") and was raging when she found out Iona was the other woman. Ruth cleared out her baby's stuff to give to a charity shop, despite Marty's pleas to stop. Iona was blaming herself for it all and was ready to face Ruth. She went to see her and apologised and explain she hoped that one day she'd be able to forgive her. Not surprisingly, this didn't go down well. Ruth snapped, finally showing her hurt, and started punching and kicking Iona until Roisin pulled her away. Iona was left unconscious and there was a rush to call an ambulance.
