Scarlett was giving Jimmy the cold shoulder but it was the day of Madonna's christening so they were trying to get on. Kelly-Marie got more and more incensed by people interfering in her life and decided, once and for all, to go travelling with Hazel. But when Father Dominic tried to stop " the nonsense with Michael" it was a step too far and when Michael turned up uninvited to find out for sure what she felt for him, she looked pleased to see him… despite Scarlett's best efforts to get rid of him. He asked her if she loves him - she has to tell him to go if she doesn't love him… But it doesn't look like she can tell him. Paul apologised to Jamie for everything and pleaded not to be sent away, which was heartbreaking for Tina. She was still worried if they'd made the right decision but eventually Eddie said they could reconsider once they'd been to visit the school if Paul still hated the idea.

There were a couple of kids playing cowboys out and about which was fine until one of them interrupted a snogging session between Alanna and Liam. His 'gunfire' turned Liam crazy - he yelled at the kid and threw a tantrum. Alanna pushed him to explain his secret - his parents used to run a restaurant and he was out bragging one night, pretending it was more successful than it was. Some guy overheard and went to rob the place. Both his parents were shot and killed, and Liam blamed himself. He then went off the rails until Father Dominic found him and put him back together.

Archie was obviously panicked by Liz's visit to the doctor and so he should be! Niamh was putting on the pressure but was impressed by his plan to get Liz to sign over the house to him. Liz's tests showed high levels of a sedative in her bloodstream and the doc was not convinced by Liz's protests. Left feeling like a drug addict, she confided in Malcolm and realised she was going to have this out with Archie. He tried to imply she's going senile and accused her of popping pills but she wouldn't be fobbed off. She was distraught when he showed her bottles of pills and implied she'd been taking them herself. They ended up at the top of the stairs arguing but they tussled and she fell to the bottom of the stairs, unconscious.
