Ruth was going about like everything was normal (she's even gone back to work) but Marty couldn't deal with it. He thinks she should be reacting more to the loss of their baby but he's refusing to believe the miscarriage had anything to do with his affair, instead blaming medical problems. Gerry and Billy both told him a few home truths. Ruth told Billy she thinks this can make her and Marty stronger as a couple! Eddie and Tina fretted about telling Paul about his new school and, understandably, he took the news badly. He stormed out, with Eddie running after him despite Jamie's offer to help. Jamie confided in Scott that he's the only one Paul will listen to.

Gina and Archie found out that Liz was at the doctor's and both were worried… but for very different reasons! Archie rooted about in Liz's handbag to find her pills but, when caught by Gina, pretended he was just doing it to check the doseage and reckons he should give Liz her medication in future. She's not meant to be getting ANY medication!!! George was fed up and wouldn't tell Shirley what was bothering him but when he tried to give Robert money to look after Alice, in return for never telling Alice their secret, the truth came out and Shirley, too, was sworn to secrecy. It's George's dying wish that Alice never knows Robert is her father.

Kelly- Marie was busying herself, trying to ignore the Michael situation but he was determined to speak to her. She tried to get rid of him but when put on the spot she couldn't look him in the eyes and tell him she doesn't feel the same… Meanwhile, Scarlett was going crazy trying to find out her daughter's secret but when she tricked Bob into telling her she nearly exploded! Blaming both Jimmy and Michael, she warned them not to go near Kelly Marie.
