Ruth and MartyEddie and JamieKelly-Marie

Marty was stunned by Ruth's reaction to his affair and the miscarriage. She reckons she's fine and won't hear another word about it. She's determined to give him the family he wants. Gina was giving Archie the cold shoulder, wary of any more of his lies. Meanwhile, Liz had been to the doctor and was told she was fine but they've done some blood tests to be sure. Alanna and Liam had a lovely romantic meal together. She kind of mentioned her past without saying what had actually happened but Liam was great, assuring her he's got his own history and they can look after each other. Awww! Paul admitted he's scared of what he might do next but the fact that he was talking about it was a great breakthrough.

Eddie and Tina took the boys out to lunch to try to make everyone feel better but all their attention was focussed on Paul. Jamie got jealous and made a scene, nearly causing a fight with Paul. The whole thing scared Tina and Eddie so much that they've decided it's the best thing for everyone if they send Paul to the residential school. Shirley was worn out, worrying about everything, but the wedding's only 3 days away so she got busy writing her vows. Della talked to Billy and he seems to be ready to go back to work. She and Sammy are going to move in to his to help out.

Alice was shocked when George took a strange angry turn (he called her a spiteful wee bitch!) but Jessica explained it was just a mood swing, and they're not going to get any better. Alice nearly turned to vodka but Robert let her talk to him about it and they shared a hug as he revealed his Mum had drink problems. George didn't look happy to see them bonding but he later shared a nice chat with his daughter and apologised profusely for sending her away all those years ago - he regrets it every day. Kelly-Marie was perturbed when Andrew sent some of her belongings back to her but she's moved on so Bob helped her burn the trinkets. She celebrated with a cocktail and ended up getting drunk with Michael. They got on really well but while she was happy to have a new best friend, he revealed his deeper feelings - he loves her. Cue credits…
