Raymond and AliceArchie and GinaIona and Marty

Alice turned up and Deek was disgusted with her. He'd been having to lie to George about her whereabouts. Raymond had plenty to say to her with a few home truths about her behaviour - she needs to be there for their dad. Just as he thought he was getting somewhere, he found a bottle of vodka hidden under her jacket and went mad. George was delighted to see her but she was really upset. He told he needed her to be strong. He'd had a rough night but was also delighted to see his brother turn up to make amends. Malcolm overheard Tina saying she's scared of her own son so he took matters into his own hands and had a quiet word with Paul about fire. He told him a wee pal of his had lost his mum in a fire and that was enough to make Paul think. He went home and admitted to Tina that he'd started the fires, he's really sorry and begged her not to tell Eddie.

Billy was still devastated and started ripping up Jo's clothes. He confided in Della that he probably knew deep down the baby wasn't his but he always had this glimmer of hope that he wasn't infertile. Gina had a go at Archie as he tried to make excuses for hiding the truth about Luca and Franco. It's dawned on her that he might be lying about other things and threw at him the news that Liz had tried to warn her off him! Kelly Marie was determined to put Andrew behind her - she's over him and ready to move on. Scarlett was worried about her (especially as Andrew has sold a story to the paper about now being engaged to a French heiress!) but she assured her she's fine. She even invited Michael round to dinner but, heeding Scarlett's warning, he didn't accept.

Iona was full of cheer, obviously with a game plan but she wasn't telling anyone. Meanwhile Marty was doing his best to apologise to Ruth for his paranoia remarks. He promised to cook for her and pamper her that evening but as he ran around (fresh out the shower) preparing their quiet night in, Iona came to the door. She demanded he tell her the truth about his feelings for her - she needed to know the truth for her own peace of mind then she'd leave him alone. He admitted he had feelings for her, that they might've had something special but he can't leave Ruth and the baby. She accepted that and they shared a kiss… just as Ruth walked in. Uh oh!
