George was determined to get stuck into wedding plans but Shirley was preoccupied - she wants to know what to expect so she went to see Jessica. Finding out how George will suffer was hard but Jessica assured her she's there for them, and they'll do all they can. He's not got long. Shirley knows their wedding day will be the saddest day of her life. Alice got upset as George tried to handle his illness by making jokes about his demise.Iona was depressed but still pretending she was fine. Shona and Roisin didn't like to see her so unhappy.

Jimmy was too excited about Madonna to study for his taxi exams.Charlie really did set off for America this time, after assuring Bob she loves him and she'll be back. He'll be waiting. Aaaaw. Meanwhile, Kelly-Marie evaded questions about Andrew, only admitting she hardly sees him cos he's so busy. Liz had the lovely idea of giving money to the new baby but Archie hid it, leaving her to hand over a card with a fiver in it. She insisted he'd seen her put the money in and demanded to go home, as Archie played the innocent, casually chucking £50 at Jo as he left. Ruth tried to get Jo to tell her what was bothering her but she couldn't. She cried and told her nobody could help.

Marty, Billy and a reluctant Luca wet the baby's head in the pub but Luca couldn't stand it and left. In their drunken state, Billy and Marty decided they'd be godparents to each other's babies. As Billy revelled in fatherhood, it wasn't such a happy time for Jo and Luca. Billy Junior (guess who's given him his temporary name?) was the focus of attention and Luca was convinced he's his. He couldn't bear seeing Billy with his child and finally Jo admitted the truth - Luca's the father. He's delighted and wants them to be a family. He wants to tell everyone the truth, he'll never leave her again. They both got upset and Jo caved - she'll run away with him and the kids!
