Shirley was shocked when George told her he plans to retire. She asked Raymond to talk to him but George insisted he knows what he's doing. His mood swings were getting too much for Shirley though as he continued to snap at her for the silliest things. Ruth found blood on Marty's shirt and was suspicious when he told her he'd been in a fight. It took Jo to convince her that he'd been steaming and it was just a fight about a spilled pint. Feeling guilty, she went out and bought him a posh new shirt but his own guilt made him have a go at her for spending money!

Charlie was still distraught about her night with Liam and was sure everyone was talking about her. She wanted peace! When Liam tried to talk to her, she ran off and left Jimmy to tell him to beat it! As accusations were flying around about him being a rapist, Liam decided to leave. Alanna tried to talk to Charlie - maybe Liam's innocent? - but Charlie got upset and Bob threw Alanna out. Alice was jealous when she saw Fi chatting happily to Susie. It was a business meeting but Alice had a go at Fi about it. Shirley convinced Fi that all was okay and Alice was happy to be friends with her again.

Archie's mystery caller, Niamh, revealed a few secrets. It turns out she spent three years in jail, covering for him. He promised all sorts of rewards when she got out but he didn't keep his promise. Not only that, but she was in love with him and he's only gone and got married while she's been inside! He's already paid her £200,000 but it's not enough. He tried to throw her out but she taped a conversation they had so it looks like she has plans to blackmail him…
