Paul was caught starting a fire at school so Eddie came up with the idea to send him away for a wee while. Tina agreed reluctantly but Paul hated the idea of going off to a farm in Mull. Malcolm got the brunt of his anger when he caught him smoking in his doocot. Paul was rude to him and refused to leave. When Malcolm came back he found the place on fire! Scared Paul was inside, he went in to help him but Paul was outside and confessed to his folks when Malcolm didn't come back out. Eddie dragged Malcolm out of the smoke but he was out cold…

Charlie and Bob celebrated signing the lease on their new flat but their night out was spoiled when Liam's temper flared when she ordered the wrong thing. When he found out she was dyslexic he apologised but Carly's teasing made him angry again and throw some plates. Dominic again convinced Eileen to give him another chance and she was distressed to find Liam in tears. Dominic tried to comfort him as he blamed himself for his parents' death - they were shot in a botched robbery. Ruth declared her undying love for Marty and assured everyone he felt the same.
