ScottMarty and IonaDuncan and Heather

Scott was nervous about his first proper meeting with Eddie's boys and debated whether to admit he knew Paul was the graffiti culprit. Just as it seemed he'd decided not to let Paul away with it, Eddie and Tina were called away to meet the Paul's headmaster about bullying. Carly was jealous as Iona persuaded Deek to go out for a drink, and he was quick to refute the suggestion that Carly's his girlfriend. Iona took him to Versus, got him completely hammered without spending a penny of her own money and then abandoned him. Luckily Carly turned up and looked after him.

Marty got an icy reception from Ruth when he got back from London. His present of a beautiful necklace helped for a while but then it was his turn to go mad when he found out the boiler was on the blink again. He went to the pub to drown his sorrows and complained to Gerry that Ruth is too high maintenance. Gerry leaves him to it, paving the way for Marty to flirt with Iona! Not surprisingly, Iona flirted back, but when he got home to his wife, they kissed and made up. Naughty boy. We got our first glimpse of Liz's home as Gina unpacked her belongings. It was clear from the start though that she wouldn't fit in to Liz's posh place, as Liz panicked about Gina moving her ornaments and suggested the garage as a good storage space.

While Shirley was out with Fi, George collapsed but insisted to Nicki that he was fine and he played it down when Shirley got home and fussed over him. He didn't look fine though. Heather was upset to hear from Fi that the courts could give Duncan custody of Freya if she challenges him. Gerry advised her not to burn bridges. She had a lot to think about and eventually went to speak to Duncan. As he defended his decision, she interrupted him: she's going to go to Australia with them!!
