Poor Scarlett was off-colour - clumsy and distracted and upset. She's sure it's not the menopause and she's used to the stress of the stuff that happens to her family so what is it? Gina tried to convince her to go to the doctor but she couldn't quite do it. Scott felt ill with nerves as Eddie prepared to tell his boys about his gay relationship. With Tina's support (she didn't really have an option though, to be fair), he talked about how he loved Tina but he was unhappy and now he's met someone he cares about - Scott. They planned for the boys to live with Tina but spent lots of time with Eddie. The boys couldn't handle the talk of their dad being in a gay couple, especially Paul, and ran off annoying people.
Gina was chucking old stuff out, to keep Archie and Liz happy. But it wasn't making HER happy and Scarlett tried to make her feel better "you'll be a fancy lady in a hoose the size of Parkheid!!" Gina kept just one china ornament she couldn't bear to part with. Liz got upset as she admitted to Malcolm she's scared of losing her routine and losing Archie. Once she got wind of Scarlett's housewarming idea, she soon was back to her usual self. She and Archie took over, with plans to invite the minister and posh friends - definitely not Gina's scene. Ruth said goodbye to Marty as he took off to London. She was distracted by baby chat with Jo.
Gerry and Heather returned from New York after a fantastic holiday. They'd missed a call from Duncan but were too busy smoochin' to call him back. Heather's old friend, Susie, turned up and distracted her too. Father Dominic managed to convince Eileen to employ Liam but only once she found out he's a trained chef. Then she had to convince Raymond. He was very against it but quickly changed his tune when Shona expressed her approval to impress her he pretended it was his idea all along. Eileen soon found out and teased him about fancying Shona. He shouted at her she obviously hit a nerve!
