Scott tried to break the tension with Tina and speak up for Eddie but she wasn't having any of it and very nearly told him the truth about Eddie's idea to return to his family. After a chat with Ruth, she cut him some slack and realised he really does love Eddie. She then tried to talk the boys into seeing their dad but Paul wouldn't listen. Only Jamie was happy to make peace. Gerry bought tickets to New York, to whisk Heather away for a break. Duncan changed his childcare arrangements, happily and surprisingly quickly. Jo managed to persuade Billy to put off the wedding until after the baby's born, telling him she didn't want to look like a beached whale but it's really to do with her dark secret and a rare attack of conscience.

Iona and Shona continued to squabble. Shona was convinced Iona would destroy everything in her path but Iona reckoned Shona had skeletons in her closet too. On Carly's suggestion, Deek offered Iona and Alanna a job-share which they reluctantly agreed to. Iona talked her way into a trial run working at Versus, too. Roisin and her girls shared a family lunch, where they weirdly discussed why she speaks differently to everyone else (apparently it's due to all that time she spent at her granny's) and she told them her plans to give up the pub to Raymond, keeping the deli and flat to herself.

McCabe and Eddie planned their swoop on Lenny at the docks, with McCabe demanding he walks away from it all with no charges, no questioning, no court appearance… Eddie arranged to meet Sammy to check some facts but Lenny got to him first. Sammy explained he knew nothing and who would he tell anything to anyway?! But it was too late - Lenny stabbed him and left him for dead. As if that wasn't dramatic enough, he was seen by Charlie who called an ambulance but was quickly grabbed by Lenny. She was tied up and thrown in the back of a van, where McCabe was already bound and helpless. In Sammy's dying breath, he managed to tell Eddie & Bob that Lenny had taken the lassie…
