AliceRuth and MartyTina and Ruth

As Alice worked hard to get back into counselling and was over the moon when she received a call telling her she'd got the job she wanted… but it did mean she couldn't go away with Fi and Shirley. Again, she seemed a bit left out. George admitted he's glad Fi's been a friend to her. He decided to get back in his cab but Shirley was concerned. He told her he was fine and she should go away with Fi and stop worrying about him. Roisin returned and wasn't chuffed to find Iona and Shona bickering but they played it down and joined forces to welcome their sister back to Shieldinch. Alanna was back too but was annoyed to find Iona working in Lazy Rays. Deek said he was unhappy she'd left so suddenly and, irrationally, left the two of them to work out who should keep the job.

Ruth was still angry at Archie and taking the whole flat sale saga personally, despite Malcolm's attempts to shut her up. Marty refused to side with her which started ANOTHER fight. Hands up if you think the lovebirds' honeymoon period is over? He bumped into a flirty Iona in the pub and didn't mention anything about her to Ruth when she asked who he'd met in the pub. Dilip was flashing his cash about, trying to impress Nicki but she was still unsure about Lenny. Dilip soon saw the less generous side of his boss and Zoe warned him to keep Nicki away from dangerous Lenny. McCabe had arranged for a shipment to come in but it was all a plan to entrap Lenny, something Harry couldn't believe Eddie was going along with. McCabe's sure Lenny is now so confident about his power that he isn't threatened by anyone… and that makes him vulnerable. How exciting!

Things weren't looking so good in Eddie's personal life though. While Jamie was missing his dad, Paul was still waging war against him, and it all got too much for Eddie despite Scott's attempts to help. Incredibly, he told Tina that he couldn't bear losing his sons and wanted to get his family back together, and that meant dumping Scott. But he didn't get the reaction he hoped for: she couldn't believe that he'd readily give up the relationship that had broken up his family! Tina sent him packing and started wondering if she was to blame for her marriage breakdown - Ruth tried to reassure her she's not a terrible person! Meanwhile, Eddie ran back to an unsuspecting Scott, saying he couldn't cope without him.
