Shirley and Deek dragged George out of his cab and put an end to the traffic chaos he caused. Billy caught sight of the goings-on, thus enflaming his anger and belief that George is a liability. Jo calmed him down and convinced Billy he should apologise to George for being overprotective. He did and peace was made. Shirley cancelled her holiday to stay with George, giving her a chance to make comments to Jo about how difficult it was for Della trying to get pregnant by Billy. Jo said it was a miracle and Shirley looked like pigs might fly.

Eileen was bored and asked Raymond if he wanted to go out for dinner. He turned her down cos he planned an early night but then Shona railroaded him into dinner instead, where they had a nice chat comparing tales of their many ex-spouses. Eileen's nose was put out of joint. Ruth felt Marty was pressurising her about having a baby and was keeping his eye on her since she stopped taking her tablets. They agreed to keep their plan quiet for now. They hugged and told each other how much they love each other… but Marty looked uncomfortable. Is Ruth getting too much for him?

Before Paul got a chance to tell Jamie what he'd seen, he was hounded by Eddie, pleading with him not to say anything. Paul turned on him, called him a liar and told him to stay away from him. Eddie was in pieces and took his stress out on Scott, complaining he hadn't backed him up. Just as it looked like Eddie had persuaded Paul to keep quiet, Scott unwittingly interrupted and Paul went mad. Paul told Jamie about "dad's new girlfriend", they fought, Tina turned up and soon it was all crudely out in the open. Phew! Cue credits ;)
