Gerry sent Heather a lovely bunch of flowers, asking her to be his date for the wedding. That put a smile on her face but when she went to see him to accept, it seems she got the wrong impression. He was only looking for friendship… but after a few profound words from Fi, he stopped worrying and went to see Heather for a passionate snog. Gina fretted about Liz's catty comments and Malcolm began to get the impression she was having second thoughts about marrying Archie. But she wasn't, was she? Father Michael decided not to let gossip run him out of town, and a tearfully apologetic Scarlett seemed to harden his heart.

George met Fi and eventually realised who she is. He went mad at Alice - does she have no self-respect? Ruth jumped to wild conclusions when she saw Marty comforting Alanna - she went off on one, accusing them of an affair. He was raging and called her crazy. Oops, that hit the wrong button. Billy was sent to appease her and found out she's worried Marty will leave her if she can't have kids. Marty immediately reassured her and they kissed and made up… but is Marty being honest? Billy, meanwhile, is happy he and Jo don't have secrets in their closet. Yeah, right!

Archie had plans to make the most of his last night of freedom despite Fi's stark warnings. Even a teary call from Gina kept him in the bar. When he eventually went to see her, he found her doubting their love. His talk of companionship and friendship did nothing to help, and while she was yearning for fireworks and true love, he dismissed her fears as pre-wedding nerves.
