Heather and Freya were busy getting everything ready for Duncan coming out of hospital. Freya's been through this umpteen times so she knows just what to do. But Gerry still couldn't cope with Heather's family commitments - was she looking after Duncan cos she wants to or did she feel guilty? Heather was torn in two, determined not to abandon Duncan and Freya again but wanted to be with Gerry. It looked like there was no hope for them and Gerry found solace in a bottle of whisky. Duncan told Heather he had no guarantees about his future and wanted to make sure Freya would be loved and have the future she deserves.
