AlannaCarlyScott and Eddie

Roisin was planning to have a family party to mark Alanna’s 18th birthday. However, Alanna was not sharing her mum’s enthusiasm as this pulled the plug on her plans to go clubbing with her mates. Alanna struck a deal with Ray that, if Zoe agreed, the two girls would have a joint party to take the heat off her having a massive family fest. Gina convinced Archie to get a meeting organised with his mother. Kelly Marie and Scarlett fretted about Bob burning the candle at both ends with his two jobs. Marty was singing Ruth’s praises as a mother-to-be to a concerned and dubious Alisha at the doctor’s surgery. . Malcolm told George that he felt a bit redundant now Gina was engaged to Archie.
Getting groomed by Kelly Marie in the salon, Hazel still had her claws out for Deke.

Roisin was concerned about Lola, who was putting a brave face on things after Glenn's departure. Gina brought Archie lunch. It looked like lunchtime loving was on the menu but a phone call from “Mommy dearest” put the brakes on romance. Alisha advised Ruth that she should not rush into having a baby. Given her most recent medical history, it could present complications. Ruth let her know that she was not going to rush into motherhood. The ever-keen Marty was not so enthusiastic about holding out for starting a family however and he began to restrict Ruth’s drinking habits. She pointed out that baby-making takes two to tango and he was going to have to make-over his lifestyle too. Thoughts of family birthdays left Zoe emotional and thinking about her mum.

Carly was worried about Lola and Roisin agreed that her mum wasn’t dealing with things properly. But the prospect of returning the wedding dress allowed Lola to shed a few tears. A loving Carly told her mum they would inform people together about the wedding. Enjoying a tense drink with Scott and Eddie at Versus, Gerry took great pleasure in winding the policeman up. Meanwhile Eddie told Scott that he was not keen to fraternise with “scum like McGrade”. A shocked Scott told his boyfriend that he was not so keen on Eddie keeping him – and his own sexuality – at arm’s length and he issued an ultimatum of his own. Eddie would have to decide now whether he was going to include Scott in his life properly or take the high road.
