AliceEileenCarly and Lola

Following Carly’s revelations, Lola was under pressure from her daughter to get the truth from Glenn about the engagement ring gone AWOL. Lola and Carly had a furious row. Alice apologised to Archie for having a go at him and told him of her alcohol problem. With her court appearance looming, she asked Archie to be her lawyer. He said he'd have to think about it but wasn’t making any promises. Alisha and Dilip had a heart-to-heart about Arun as they were both missing him. Luca went to visit Alisha to check things were going okay. He was thrilled when she invited him for dinner. Jo was not happy to be stood up by Luca though and showed signs of envy. Raymond gave Eileen a tongue-lashing when she revealed her sleekit intentions to make-over The Grill.

Carly approached Eileen with a desperate plan; she thought the only way her mother would chuck Glenn was if she caught him with another woman. Reckoning the chef had a soft spot for Eileen, Carly explained her plan and told of her worries about Glenn jumping ship before the wedding day. Eileen, unsurprisingly, was not keen to co-operate with this palaver. She let Glenn know that whatever he had in mind for his wedding to Lola he’d better not stand her up in The Grill. Alice told her family of Archie’s reckoning that she’d likely get community service at the child porn trial. But she reckoned she deserved to go down for about five years. George told Shirley of his fears for Alice if she ended up in prison - in close proximity to hard drubs. Eileen found a one-way ticket to Amsterdam in Glenn’s secret stash box.

Meanwhile, Carly told her mum she must confront Glenn. Lola had had enough of her daughter's vendetta against Glenn and told her not to come to the wedding. Luca told Jo of his feelings for Alisha and asked advice on how to read her behaviour. Jo mysteriously advised him to act aloof. When his evening out with Alisha was cut short, Jo was happy to have him back at home with her. George was supportive of Alice and went with her to her AA meeting. Eileen showed a shocked Lola Glenn’s plane ticket to Amsterdam. Horrified at her fiancé’s deceit, and incredulous that her daughter had been telling the truth all along, a furious Lola confronted Glenn. Despite his attempts to wriggle out of the situation with some guff about Cormac and his stag do, Lola decided enough was enough. She let rip and announced that the wedding was off.
